The fuel level sensor signal is higher than its normal range
Severity: MonitorThe fuel pump in the tank supplies fuel, often through a separate pump control module, and the injectors spray it into the engine on command from the engine computer. The computer also reads fuel level and, on some engines, fuel temperature. Codes here are mostly about the electrical side of those parts; whether the engine actually gets enough fuel shows up in fuel trim and fuel pressure codes.
