CodeMechanic is built by a small team. None of us is a certified technician, and no page has been reviewed by a technician yet. Every page lists its sources so you can check our work. How we decide what goes on a page is explained on the methodology page.

Co-Founder & CTO
A technology specialist working in AI, full-stack development and data pipelines. Saurabh builds CodeMechanic: the code graph that links trouble codes to causes, tests and symptoms, the pipelines that pull public NHTSA and EPA data, and the site itself. He is not a certified technician; articles he writes are compiled from the sources listed on each page.

Gaurav leads strategy and partnerships for CodeMechanic, with the goal of making plain, sourced answers about check engine lights easy to find.

Co-Founder & COO
Ambika brings 12 years of project management and technical operations experience. At CodeMechanic she runs editorial operations: the review queue, error reports and the corrections log.
