Infiniti OBD2 codes
Codes where we have reviewed, vehicle-specific evidence for this make.
Infiniti's notes on the Q50 follow Nissan bulletins: an occupant detection airbag code with a software check and zero-point reset, and a transmission speed sensor code where Infiniti says to replace the control valve rather than the sensor. We have not confirmed these bulletins are still current.
B00A0 from the occupant detection sensor unit
Infiniti bulletin ITB19-024 covers B00A0 stored for the occupant detection sensor unit on the Q50. It matches the Nissan bulletin: a software check and a zero-point reset. This is part of the airbag system, so have it inspected by a dealer or qualified technician. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
B1129 and B1134 for a side module open circuit
Infiniti bulletin ITB-12-034 covers B1129 and B1134 as right or left side module open codes on the 2003 to 2005 G35 sedan and coupe, and gives updated repair procedures. This is an airbag system, so have it inspected by a qualified shop rather than repairing it yourself. We only read the NHTSA summary, not the bulletin itself. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
C1116 with the VDC lamp on and a stop lamp switch circuit
Infiniti bulletin ITB18-006 links C1116 on the 2016 to 2017 QX60 without intelligent cruise to the VDC warning lamp and the stop lamp switch circuit, and says to install a harness jumper. Related Infiniti bulletins also adjust the brake switches. We only read the NHTSA summary. This involves the brake and stability system, so have it inspected by a qualified shop. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
C1130 when the ABS unit does not recognise an engine signal
Infiniti bulletin ITB16-047 gives diagnosis information for C1130 on the 2015 QX60. It describes the code as an ABS code for an engine computer output signal that is not recognised, and says engine codes should be dealt with first. This is a braking system, so have it inspected rather than repairing it yourself. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P0036 diagnosed as a bank 2 A/F sensor heater fault
Nissan bulletin NTB17-090 says the service manual information for P0036 may be inaccurate on the 2016 and 2017 Altima and Pathfinder. It says to follow the bank 2 A/F sensor heater open or shorted procedure, and Infiniti's matching bulletin says the same for some Infiniti models. On the 6-cylinder engine, the sensor is therefore not the bank 1 downstream sensor. We read only the NHTSA summary. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P0100 with the check engine light on a mass airflow sensor
Infiniti bulletin ITB01029 covers the check engine light with P0100 on 2000 to 2002 I30 and Q45 models. Later revisions add rough running, surging and low power. Only the NHTSA summary was read. Check the airflow sensor and its connector before replacing parts. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P0140 from the rear oxygen sensor circuit
Infiniti bulletin ITB01-011A covers a check engine light with rear oxygen sensor codes, including P0140, on the 2000 to 2001 I30. Check the rear oxygen sensor and its wiring first. Only the NHTSA summary was read, not the bulletin itself. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P0140 from rear oxygen sensor bulletin
Infiniti bulletin ITB01-045 covers a check engine light with rear oxygen sensor codes including P0140 on some Infiniti models. We only have the NHTSA summary, which does not describe the repair. Check the rear oxygen sensors and their wiring first. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P0448 at the EVAP canister vent control valve
Infiniti bulletin ITB19-012 covers P0448 at the EVAP canister vent control valve on the 2019 QX50. The summary says to reprogram the engine computer if applicable. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P0448 that need the normal repair and a reprogram
Infiniti bulletin ITB19-027 covers the check engine light with P0448 among several codes on Q50, Q60 and QX60 models. If the listed engine computer part numbers apply, the summary says to do the normal diagnosis and repair for the stored code, then reprogram the engine computer. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P0605 with cruise control that will not set
Infiniti bulletin ITB-13-13 links P0605 to cruise control that will not set on the 2009 to 2011 G37. We only read the NHTSA summary, which does not give the repair. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P06DA fixed by replacing the engine room sub-harness
Infiniti bulletin ITB24-017A covers P06DA stored as current on the Q50 and related models. The fix it lists is to replace the engine room sub-harness. Inspect the wiring before replacing the oil pump. The bulletin is published on NHTSA, but we have not confirmed it is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P0710 stored in the ECM only
Infiniti bulletin ITB13019A covers the check engine light with P0710 stored in the ECM only on the 2013 G37. It says to compare the TCM part number against a table, and it matches the same condition in Nissan NTB13018A. Only the NHTSA summary was read. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P0720 on the Q50 that points to the control valve
Infiniti bulletin ITB19-040 covers the warning light with P0720 on 2014 to 2015 Q50 models, which may also shift harshly or lack power. If diagnosis leads to the output speed sensor, Infiniti says to replace the control valve rather than the sensor. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P0793 that will not erase from the TCM
Infiniti bulletin ITB20-027 lists P0793 among permanent codes stored in the TCM of the 2019 QX50 that will not erase. The action is to replace the TCM if only the listed codes are stored and the erase procedure fails. We only read the NHTSA summary. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P1320 and spark knock from ignition coils on the I30
Infiniti bulletin ITB01-052 ties the check engine light with P1320 and spark knock on the I30 to the ignition coils, the same condition as a related Maxima bulletin. If new coils do not clear the code, check the wiring. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P1574 with a car that stops changing gears
A 2015 Q50 owner complaint lists P1574 with other speed sensor codes, and says the car hesitated and stopped changing gears in traffic. The scan text reads ASCD vehicle speed sensor. The source is owner reports, not a confirmed fault pattern, so this is labelled vehicle data.
P1715 read as an input pulley speed signal
An owner complaint on a 2014 Infiniti QX60 says a parts-store scan displayed P1715 as an input pulley speed signal alongside another transmission code. The owner reports surging revs and a vehicle that would not hold a mile. The source is owner reports and it needs testing to confirm.
P1774 with the check engine light on
Infiniti bulletin 04047 covers the 2004 QX56 with the check engine light on and P1774 stored. The summary we read is from NHTSA only, not the full bulletin. It does not give a cause or repair in the summary. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
P1774 on RE5R05A 5-speed automatics
Infiniti bulletin ITB-10-006A applies to RE5R05A 5-speed automatics and lists P1774 among several transmission codes. It tells the technician to use the repair flow chart when any of them is stored. Only the NHTSA summary was read. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
