Hummer OBD2 codes

Codes where we have reviewed, vehicle-specific evidence for this make.

Hummer notes cover the H3 and H2: one bulletin lists P0030 with a reduced-power message on the 2006 H3 and points to the powertrain relay, and a GM bulletin ties P2723 with slipping in reverse or third on 2006 to 2009 H2 trucks to the housing and pump seal rings. Only bulletin summaries were read, so confirm the fix with a dealer.

P0030 with reduced power, 2006 H3

Supported by vehicle data

Hummer bulletin 3508C covers a service engine soon light and a reduced power message with several codes including P0030 on the 2006 H3. It says to inspect the powertrain relay operation. We only read the NHTSA summary. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.

P0036 with wiring chafed on the A/C hose coupling

Supported by vehicle data

GM bulletin PIT5336 lists P0036 among oxygen sensor heater and sensor codes on the 2013 to 2015 Enclave, Traverse and Acadia. It points to engine harness wires to the bank 1 oxygen sensor that are chafed on the A/C hose coupling, and to a possible open Emission 1 fuse. Related GM summaries for some older models mention the powertrain relay, or give no repair at all, and those older entries need testing to confirm. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.

P2723 with slipping in reverse or third

Supported by vehicle data

GM bulletin 09-07-30-004F covers slipping in reverse or third gear and delayed reverse or drive engagement on 2006 to 2009 six-speed models, with P2723 among the codes stored. It says to inspect the 1-2-3-4 and 3-5-R housing and the pump seal rings first. Check the fluid level and condition before that. We only read the NHTSA summary, not the bulletin itself. We have not confirmed the bulletin is still current, so this is labelled vehicle data rather than confirmed by bulletin.
