U2107 on Chevrolet
On Chevrolet and other GM vehicles with the GMLAN network, U2107 means the engine control module lost communication with the body control system
Severity: Inspect soon
Owners and a GM bulletin tie this code to a power steering that stops working and a car that loses power and must be restarted, so steering and drive power can be affected.
It gets more serious if:
- Stop: Stop if power steering is lost, the engine loses power or the car must be restarted: pull over safely and arrange a tow.
This page covers only what differs on Chevrolet. For what U2107 means, the ranked causes and the test order, see the U2107 guide.
