U1267 on Jeep
On Chrysler, Jeep and Ram vehicles, U1267 means the electronic shift module is sending no valid data on the CAN network
Severity: Inspect soon
The code is tied to a shifter that locks in park with a service shifter message, and one owner lost all engine power in an intersection, so starting, shifting and drive power can be affected.
It gets more serious if:
- Stop: Stop if the engine loses power while driving, the vehicle will not shift out of park or all dash lights flash: pull over safely and arrange a tow.
