U2624 on Chevrolet
On the Chevrolet Volt, U2624 is part of the Battery Energy Control Module communication code block, stored with U2603-U2606 and P1E00
Severity: Inspect soon
Chevrolet Volt owners report the high-voltage battery control module failing with sudden reduced or lost drive power, a car that will not shift out of park or start, and a stall in traffic. High-voltage parts are not a home repair, so have it inspected soon.
It gets more serious if:
- Stop: Stop if the car loses drive power, shows Propulsion Power Is Reduced, or stalls while driving: pull over where it is safe and arrange a tow instead of restarting and continuing.
