U1010 on Ford
On Ford hybrids such as the Maverick Hybrid, U1010 is a manufacturer network code reported by dealers as invalid internal control module monitoring data received from the hybrid powertrain control module
Severity: Inspect soon
Maverick Hybrid owners report sudden loss of drive power on the highway with this code, so the car may stop without warning and needs a prompt inspection.
It gets more serious if:
- Stop: Stop if the car loses power, shifts to neutral or shuts off while driving: pull over safely and arrange a tow instead of restarting and continuing.
