P1450 on Mazda
Fuel tank vacuum not bleeding off (Ford, Lincoln, Mazda)
Severity: Monitor
Most Ford and Mazda bulletins for P1450 describe only a check engine light, a slow fill or an inaccurate fuel gauge, so you can usually keep driving while you book a check.
It gets more serious if:
- Inspect soon: Get it checked soon if the engine is hard to start, will not start, runs rough or loses speed after refuelling. Ford found this with P1450 on some 2013–2014 Escape, Fusion and MKZ, and a purge valve stuck open on the 2012–2018 Focus 2.0L was recalled because tank vacuum could cause stalling.
