P1437 on Acura
On Honda hybrids, a short circuit in the motor power inverter module
Severity: Inspect soon
It is an inverter fault in the high-voltage system; owners report stalling in an intersection, a no-restart and power steering locking up, so treat it as urgent.
It gets more serious if:
- Stop: Stop somewhere safe and arrange a tow if the car stalls, loses drive power, will not restart or the power steering stiffens. Two owners report stalling in traffic or locked steering with this code.
