C1253 on Lexus
Hybrid brake booster or actuator fault, internal brake fluid leak (Toyota, Lexus)
Severity: Inspect soon
Toyota bulletins tie C1253 to the brake, ABS or TRAC warning lights, and Toyota's owner's manual says to have the car inspected immediately when the ABS light is on.
It gets more serious if:
- Stop: Stop in a safe place and call a dealer if the red brake warning light is on or the brake pedal feels different.
